Our Products

We currently make five products: Traditional Falafel, Falafel Burger, Mince Beef Kubbeh, Spicy Chicken Kubbeh, and Mixed Vegetable Kubbeh. All are made in our SALSA-certified Kirkcaldy production facility using traditional Lebanese family recipes.

Our products are made using production machinery in our SALSA-certified facility at Mitchelston Industrial Estate in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Every product is made to traditional Lebanese family recipes, the same recipes, the same quality, every single batch.

Yes. All Almaz Foods products are frozen to preserve freshness without the need for artificial preservatives. We use traditional Lebanese methods, proper freezing is how the food stays as fresh as the day it was made. Simply cook from frozen or defrost before cooking.

No. Zero artificial preservatives, in any product, ever. We rely on traditional recipes, quality ingredients, and proper freezing to keep our food fresh. That's how Lebanese families have always made it, and that's how we do it.

Our production kitchen is based at Mitchelston Industrial Estate, Kirkcaldy, Fife, KY1 3NL. We're a Scottish family business making traditional Lebanese food right here in Scotland.

SALSA stands for Safe and Local Supplier Approval. It is an independently audited food safety certification scheme that confirms our production facility and processes meet the rigorous standards required by UK retailers and food service operators.

It is not just a certificate we display, it's the standard we hold ourselves to every day. When you buy Almaz Foods products, you buy with confidence.

Dietary & Allergens

All Almaz Foods products are Halal friendly. We source all meat from certified Halal suppliers, and our Kirkcaldy production facility follows Halal-compliant practices throughout the production process.

Our Traditional Falafel and Falafel Burger contain no meat at all, they are fully plant-based.

Our Traditional Falafel and Falafel Burger are both fully vegan and vegetarian, no animal products of any kind. Our Mixed Vegetable Kubbeh is also 100% vegan. Read our full guide: Is falafel vegan? →

The Mince Beef Kubbeh and Spicy Chicken Kubbeh contain meat and are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.

Our Traditional Falafel and Falafel Burger are gluten-free. The Kubbeh products contain a bulgur wheat shell and are not suitable for those with gluten intolerance or coeliac disease.

If you have a specific allergy concern not answered there, please contact us directly and we'll be happy to help.

None of our recipes include nuts as an ingredient. However, our production facility handles multiple ingredients and we cannot guarantee a completely nut-free environment. If you have a nut allergy, please check the product label carefully or contact us before purchasing and we will confirm in writing.

Ordering & Delivery

You can order our products directly through our website, or contact us for wholesale enquiries if you're a restaurant, caterer, or retailer. Use the Our Products page to browse, and get in touch to place an order.

We currently supply customers and wholesale accounts across Scotland. For information about delivery to your area, please contact us with your location and we'll let you know what's available.

All products must be stored in the freezer at -18°C or below. Do not refreeze once cooked or thawed.

Frozen, Non-Fried (uncooked): Cook directly from frozen by deep frying at 170°C for 5 minutes until golden brown. Do not defrost before cooking.

Frozen, Ready to Heat (pre-cooked): Reheat in a microwave for 1 minute on full power, or in an air fryer at 190°C for 2 minutes. Always ensure internal temperature reaches 75°C before serving.

Yes. We supply restaurants, hotels, universities, caterers, and food retailers across Scotland. We are SALSA-certified, which means our production meets the food safety standards required by major UK food service operators.

We are a growing business with a SALSA-certified facility that can scale production to meet demand. If you have a large or ongoing requirement, please contact us directly to discuss what's possible.
